Skiing in Les Arcs, France

In January I took my first skiing holiday in over a decade! Yep, a decade. I love skiing and had skied for about 10 weeks before my holiday last month. My friends either can’t ski or are not of a similar standard to me. So, back in July 2010. I took the decision that I just have to go skiing again and that I would have to go on my own!

A couple of days later I did some searching on Google to organise my skiing trip when I stumbled across a company in Plymouth that couldn’t make it any simpler to escape to the snowy slopes. The company is called “Sound Ski’s” and they have a shop at Queen Anne’s Battery.

To cut a long story short, I got on the coach from outside of the shop on the Friday morning and returned to the same place by coach on Sunday afternoon with 8 full days skiing in between. I had a great time and met some great people the vast majority of which are from the Plymouth area.

I will definitely be going again next January with Sound Skis, so if you like skiing, consider going with Sound Skis. I highly recommend them.

Oh, and one final thing. I was really glad that I hired my boots and skis from Sound Skis rather than hiring them in the resort as I was provided with top-of-the-line gear. My skis were “Liberty” skis which I understand are a good make and they were just as fantastic on-piste as off-piste.
