Description:
Our company was called 'Kambo Interactive' and it comprised of four people of which Nicholas was the Project Manager and a Game Developer.

The game that was designed and produced is called 'The Next Level'. It is a one and two player game that can be downloaded or played online over the Internet. The game is also supported by a mini-site where information can be found about the game as well as statistics like fastest level completion times. The mini-site also features a community.

With the game, the team took an established genre namely the 'platform' game and added a new 'hook' to it. The hook in the game in the two player version is that one player plays the level whilst the opposing player attempts to slow them down by constructing the actual level on-the-fly. In the one player version, levels that are made in the two player version can be played again in an attempt to beat the high score.

Nicholas's roles in the team and game:
Nicholas from PanoConsulting was the Project manager which meant he had to assign tasks and make sure that realistic targets were made and kept to. He also had to keep moral up. Mostly he had to make sure that everyone was working as a team and were all focused on the same goals.

Nicholas was also the lead programmer of the main game called 'The Next Level'. He did a lot of programming in Flash as well as all the PHP, XML and MySQL database work that makes the game highly effective.

Conclusion:
Throughout this module, Kambo Interactive functioned as a team and communicated effectively to not only produce a solid game but also to establish a brand identity and advertise themselves as a company through a corporate website and two formal presentations.

The game, The Next Level has proved to be a popular game amongst peers, friends and families alike. It makes all the effort worthwhile.
